Senior Superintendent

San Francisco, CA

As the jobsite leader, you work in partnership with the Project Executive or Senior Project Manager to ensure overall project success and have primary responsibility for the execution of the “Work.” This role plans and orchestrates the project team by setting clear expectations and holding his team accountable to achieve success. The Senior Superintendent lives our Core Values and leads by example in order to develop the Company’s future leaders.

Superintendent

San Francisco, CA

The Superintendent implements all field activities for self-performed work, subcontractor work, and field logistical items by coordinating and managing Pankow employees, union employees, and subcontractors. This role acts as a leader in the field in key focus areas of Lean, Quality and Safety and acts as the “Go To” person on the jobsite.

Senior Project Manager

Oakland, CA

Highest level project manager responsible for overall direction and outcome of the largest revenue projects and/or high volume of medium or smaller projects for the company. This position establishes project objectives, maintains liaison and relationships with client contacts, and monitors construction and financial activities through others and consults with appropriate experts (i.e., Preconstruction and Operations departments, outside consultants, etc.) in order to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of estimates, budgets, schedules, etc. Accordingly this position is also accountable for providing updates on all aspects of the project to the appropriate parties.

The Project Manager (PM) assumes accountability for project results through accurate and timely estimating, cost control and forecasting. The PM maintains and fosters client relationships by clearly setting and communicating achievable expectations with the client and internal team members. This position consults with the appropriate experts to target and achieve results, set challenging goals, and prioritizes tasks to overcome obstacles. The PM sets team standards and responsibilities and provides leadership/motivation to drive toward successful completion of the project.

Assistant Project Manager

San Francisco, CA

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) assumes accountability for accurately and punctually managing project documentation. The APM is a clear communicator who informs the Superintendent of critical issues that impact the execution of the Work. As the supervisor of the engineering team, they manage performance, delegate tasks and monitor progress of the team to ensure successful project completion. Client advocacy for both internal and external customers should be clearly demonstrated in the Assistant Project Manager’s approach, communications, work product and results.

Senior Preconstruction Manager

Oakland, CA

The Senior Preconstruction Manager creates and maintains budgets for medium and large projects and supports APM/PM with the subcontractor pricing and procurement process. The Senior Preconstruction Manager may also develop project schedules, site logistics plans and support constructability reviews. This position has the guidance and support of the Regional Lead Preconstruction Manager and operates under the supervision of the Chief Preconstruction Manager.

Lean Manager

Oakland, CA

The Lean Manager assists with the development, management, support and implementation of Lean tools throughout the organization. This position reports to the Director of Lean and Learning, and partners with Operations and Planning Operations, to ensure that Lean principles and tools are implemented to improve employee satisfaction, construction processes and project outcomes. The Lean Manager will collaborate with the Pankow leaders on the organizational strategy of Lean growth to increase safety, quality, productivity, reduce rework and improve work-life rhythm. This Lean champion ensures continued integration of Lean into the Pankow’s culture and helps position the organization as a leader in Lean Construction.
