WHAT WE ARE DOING
BUILDING A NIMBLE CULTURE THAT EMBRACES CHANGE
EMPOWERMENT | Our innovative culture empowers people to take control of their jobs and lives. We foster an encouraging environment that promotes self-awareness and a solutions-oriented mindset. Our project teams bring these attributes to every project.
NEW TECHNOLOGY BRINGS ADVANTAGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
ELEVATING A LEAN CULTURE | Our culture is continuously seeking to see and eliminate waste. We embrace new technologies that improve processes in our daily lives to enable faster, more effective ways to get things done. Every employee creates videos to share their Lean Improvements with the company during daily Lean Huddles. These ever-growing levels of collaboration increase productivity in all that we do.
COORDINATION AND COLLABORATION | We see Virtual Design and Construction as more than technology. We value BIM for its ability to change the way teams build, enhancing project success through increased collaboration early on. By implementing BIM, the project achieves higher levels of certainty throughout the design and construction phases. This leads to better coordination, prefabrication and more efficient layouts. Every member of the project team can stay in step with the model’s development and seamlessly share information throughout the life-cycle of the project.
REVOLUTIONIZING PROJECT DELIVERY
SHARED RISK AND SHARED REWARD | Risk-averse behaviors create an un-collaborative team culture. This lack of integration during the design and construction phases leads to more waste, major declines in productivity, and less value added to the project. Shared-risk and shared-reward project delivery places the focus on value-add activities. This ideology fosters innovation as team members work together toward a common goal.
FILLING THE DEEP DEFICIT IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY RESEARCH
ADVANCING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION | The Charles Pankow Foundation stands alone as the only privately funded organization in the U.S. focused on funding research made available to the public domain to advance design and construction. It has funded more than 75 research grants totaling more than $15 million in direct investment, plus attracting another $3 million from several partners.
