Zev Yaroslavsky Family Support Center

Overview

Pankow was the design-builder for the County of Los Angeles’ Zev Yaroslavsky Family Support Center located at the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Saticoy Street in the city of Van Nuys.

Scope of work included a new 212,000 SF Office Building and a new 1,326-car Parking Structure which serves seven County departments and provides services to the public on the ground level.

The overall design approach and philosophy was aimed at the primary purpose of this new building: to assist the County in delivering its services in a better way, with more inspired and motivated staff, in a safer, healthier work environment where clients and employees feel valued as human beings. This new facility provides a pedestrian friendly, park-like campus where buildings, art, hardscape and landscape are integrated into a cohesive whole.
