Moloka'i General Hospital Expansion - Phase I

Overview

Pankow provided Design-Assist services for the Phase I hospital expansion project on the island of Moloka'i, which included construction of a new in-patient services wing with patient rooms, labor and delivery center, trauma unit, X-Ray/CT Scan area, emergency department, and a new ambulance ramp.

The new facility was constructed directly in front of the existing hospital without interrupting any daily operations, thereby securing a seamless transition between facilities. Once the expansion was complete, the existing hospital was remodeled to provide space for administrative offices and secondary services.
