CPMC Cathedral Hill Hospital celebrated its "topping out" ceremony
On Tuesday December 8th, the CPMC Cathedral Hill Hospital celebrated its "topping out" ceremony, marking the hoisting into place of the structure's final steel beam.
Dignitaries at the event included Dr. Warren Browner, CPMC's chief executive, San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, San Francisco supervisors David Campos and Mark Farrell, Assembly members David Chiu and Phil Ting, and other community, Sutter Health and hospital leaders. The new 274-bed facility is scheduled to open in early 2019.
About 250 to 300 people attended the mid-day event, including large numbers of construction workers watching from various floors of the unfinished 12-story, $2.1 billion hospital complex.
Pankow is a concrete trade partner at the Hospital.
Congrats to the team!
