Don't miss BioMimicry 2016: The Road to Resiliency on March 11, 2016
The Biomimicry 2016 Conference is our inaugural convening of professionals around biomimetic and energy efficient, nature-inspired design. Nature has had 3.8 billion years of R&D and has a lot to teach us about efficiency.
This half day conference will include a variety of short TED style presentations and panel discussions from nationally leading biomimicry experts and AEC firms, exhibitor tables, and high quality networking opportunities. Verdical Group, the conference organizer, expects 200 attendees.
Conference presentations will include: the definition of biomimicry (what does this buzzword mean and why is it important?), biomimicry resources like asknature.org collections on energy, water and waste, and real world biomimicry project case studies where nature inspired designs lead to higher performing projects and increased revenue. Architects, Engineers, Designers, and Consultants are all encouraged to attend.
The Conference includes complimentary registration, free parking, and breakfast thanks to the generous support of Southern California Edison. Three Continuing Education Units will also be available for AIA, USGBC, and LFA credential holders.
