John Muir Medical Center - Bulk Oxygen Tank Addition

Overview

This OSHPD project involved the addition of one 13,000 gallon bulk oxygen tank, replacement of a 6,000 gallon reserve tank, and associated medical gas piping, manifolds, valves and alarms. A mass excavation of hillside was conducted in order to construct new concrete equipment pad and retaining wall, which included relocating existing underground utilities and storm drains behind the new retaining wall. Other tasks included: installing new piping under roadway to exterior of existing hospital building, continue new O2 piping in hospital ceiling space to existing points of connection, implementing Storm Water Pollution Prevention program, and associated Best Management Practice measures. Installation of new fences and gates, landscaping, and irrigation system replacement.
