Hollywood, CA. The Ford Theatres opened its doors to the delight of audiences on Friday, July 8^th after closing for renovations last season. There were three performances during the opening weekend including a sold-out "Broadway under the Stars – Celebrating Dreamgirls' 35^th Anniversary" production on Sunday evening. Many Pankow employees and field crews who worked on the project helped to fill the 1,296-seat venue.

Delivering on the age old motto "the show must go on," the Pankow team worked tenaciously with the Ford Theatres, designers, and subcontractors to create a plan to re-open the main theatre despite encountering numerous delays. Although some of the construction improvements could not be done on time, completion of the remaining enhancements are planned in phases to occur both during and after the Ford's 2016 performance season which runs through October.

"What our team was able to accomplish at the Ford was simply amazing and shows Pankow's deep commitment to finding better building solutions that support our client's success," said Jack Mollenkopf, Pankow's Regional Vice President in SoCal. "I'm proud of our entire team and how we never ceased to see the possibilities while overcoming such an overwhelming challenge."
